The Modi regime, once projected as invincible, now stands exposed. The cracks are no longer hidden—they are glaring, undeniable, and spreading fast. What was once hailed as a “New India” has begun to resemble a crumbling edifice of arrogance, silence, and betrayal. The downfall of the Modi government has already begun, and the reasons are written in bold across the political landscape.
History teaches us that arrogance and silence in the face of injustice mark the beginning of collapse. In the Mahabharata, the downfall of the Kauravas began when Draupadi was disrobed in the royal court, while Dhritarashtra sat as a mute spectator. Today, India witnesses a similar betrayal: crimes committed in broad daylight, constitutional principles trampled, and a government that chooses silence over justice.
Let us dissect the five undeniable reasons why the Modi regime is already on its downward spiral.
1. Silence in the Face of Injustice
The first and most damning indictment of this government is its criminal silence in the face of public outrage. When citizens are subjected to violence, humiliation, or injustice, the government’s duty is to act swiftly and decisively. Instead, the Modi regime has perfected the art of looking away.
Law and order have collapsed in the national capital and beyond, yet the government remains a mute spectator. This silence is not neutrality—it is complicity. Just as Dhritarashtra’s silence doomed the Kauravas, Modi’s silence in the face of brazen crimes is sowing the seeds of his downfall. A government that cannot protect its citizens has forfeited its moral right to rule.
Modi’s silence on a recent incident involving journalist Ruchi Tiwari is almost similar to the silence of Dhritrashtra on the Kauravas’ disrobing of Draupadi. On February 13, 2026, Journalist Ruchi Tiwari, was sexually assaulted & molested during a protest at Delhi University’s North Campus. Videos circulated on social media showed her being surrounded, pushed, and subjected to threats. The attack was caste-motivated due to her Brahmin surname. She alleged attempts to tear her clothes and even “rape threats,” describing it as an “attempt to murder.”
Shockingly but not surprisingly, out of hundreds of criminals responsible and visible in the videos, not a single criminal has been arrested in this matter till date. Masterminds of this hate crime also include some Professors working in Delhi University, who organised this shameful controversial event. They are neither dismissed from University nor arrested till date. This is how, Modi Government wants to empower the SC/ST/OBC Community by giving them the weapon of SC/ST Acts & UGC Acts which they can use against upper caste hindus just like they have used it against Ruchi Tiwari ?
2. Betrayal of Constitutional Equality
Articles 14 and 15 of the Constitution of India guarantee equality before the law and prohibit discrimination. Yet, the Modi government has repeatedly undermined these principles by pushing policies that appear selective, divisive, and biased.
Instead of strengthening equality, the government has allowed laws and regulations to be weaponized, creating resentment and mistrust among citizens. When governance becomes tilted, when justice is perceived as selective, the very foundation of democracy begins to rot. The Modi regime’s deliberate erosion of constitutional equality is not just a policy failure—it is constitutional vandalism.
A government that betrays the Constitution betrays the nation. That betrayal is now visible, and it is accelerating the regime’s downfall.
3. The Endless Reservation Controversy
Reservation was meant to be a temporary corrective measure, a bridge to equality. Instead, it has become a permanent political tool, cynically expanded and manipulated for votes. The Modi government has not only failed to reform this system but has entrenched it further, even extending benefits to new groups without addressing the fundamental constitutional question: How long will India run on indefinite reservation?
By refusing to modernize or rationalize reservation policies, the government has created a festering wound. Meritocracy is being sacrificed at the altar of vote-bank politics. This is not social justice—it is political opportunism. And opportunism, when stretched too far, becomes self-destructive.
The refusal to confront this constitutional contradiction is a clear sign that the Modi regime has chosen short-term survival over long-term stability. That choice will hasten its downfall.
4. Exclusionary Welfare Schemes
Every government designs welfare schemes to uplift the marginalized. But when schemes are deliberately structured to exclude certain groups, they cease to be welfare—they become instruments of division.
The Modi government’s welfare architecture has been criticized for being exclusionary, creating the perception that benefits are distributed unevenly and unfairly. Taxpayers who contribute the most feel alienated when they see their money disproportionately funneled into schemes that bypass them entirely.
This is fiscal injustice. It is a betrayal of the principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas—the very slogan that brought Modi to power. When slogans collapse under the weight of reality, credibility evaporates. And without credibility, no government can survive.
The exclusionary design of welfare schemes is not just bad economics—it is political suicide.
5. Rising Social Tensions and Misuse of Laws
The final nail in the coffin is the government’s failure to address rising social tensions and the misuse of protective laws. Laws meant to safeguard vulnerable communities are increasingly being misused, leading to false cases, extortion, and harassment. Instead of reforming these laws to prevent abuse, the government has chosen to remain silent, allowing resentment to grow unchecked.
This silence is dangerous. It breeds anger, frustration, and despair. Citizens who feel targeted and abandoned lose faith in the system. When faith in the system collapses, the government collapses with it.
The Modi regime’s refusal to confront the misuse of laws is not just negligence—it is cowardice. And cowardice in governance is the surest path to downfall.
The Larger Picture: Arrogance and Blindness
The five reasons outlined above are not isolated failures. They are interconnected symptoms of a deeper disease: arrogance and blindness. The Modi regime has become deaf to criticism, blind to injustice, and arrogant in its belief that power is permanent.
But history is merciless. Power is never permanent. The Kauravas believed their throne was unshakable—until it crumbled. The Modi regime believes its dominance is eternal—but the cracks are already visible.
Every act of silence, every betrayal of constitutional principles, every exclusionary policy, every misuse of law is a hammer blow to the regime’s foundation. The edifice is shaking, and collapse is inevitable.
Conclusion: The Downfall Has Already Begun
Damage Control is still possible but the Government is no mood to control the damage. Damage control is possible if the following steps are taken on ASAP basis:
1. Arrest of all Left Wing/Dalit Goons responsible for the Public Humiliation and Molestation of Journalist Ruchi Tiwari under the National Security Act.
2. Repeal of SC/ST Act & UGC Act
3. Unconstitutional Reservation System should be abolished
4. All social welfare schemes should be need based instead of caste based
5. Instead of Reservation, Government should provide financial help to all sections of the society irrespective of Caste or Religion, purely on economic criteria.
If the Government does not come in damage control mode, then the downfall of the Modi regime is not a distant possibility—it is a present reality. The silence in the face of injustice, the betrayal of constitutional equality, the endless reservation controversy, exclusionary welfare schemes, and rising social tensions are not just policy failures. They are signs of a government that has lost its moral compass, its constitutional legitimacy, and its credibility.
Like the Kauravas, the Modi regime stands arrogant, blind, and deaf to the cries of justice. The downfall is not approaching—it has already begun.
History will not remember this government for its slogans or its propaganda. It will remember it for its silence, its betrayal, and its collapse. And that collapse is unfolding before our eyes.
