In terms of business growth, IDBI Bank’s net advances increased by 18% year-on-year to ₹2.07 trillion, while total deposits grew by 9% to ₹2.82 trillion. The retail segment continues to dominate the loan portfolio, comprising 71% of gross advances.
Looking ahead, the bank’s future prospects are influenced by the ongoing privatization process. The Indian government and Life Insurance Corporation of India, holding a combined 60.7% stake, have been seeking to divest their shares since 2022. While foreign investors have shown interest, regulatory challenges and valuation concerns have delayed the process . Nonetheless, the government remains committed to concluding the transaction, as part of its broader disinvestment strategy
