CA EXAMINATIONS MAY 2026: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially released the comprehensive timetable for the Chartered Accountancy (CA) examinations scheduled for May 2026, covering all levels—Foundation, Intermediate, Final—and the post‑qualification International Taxation Assessment Test (INTT‑AT). The announcement, published on December 12, 2025, outlines exam dates, timings, and key regulatory details for lakhs of aspiring chartered accountants across the country.
CA EXAMINATIONS MAY 2026: According to the notification, the May 2026 examination cycle will begin on May 2 and continue until May 20, spanning nearly three weeks. ICAI has reiterated that the schedule will remain unchanged even if any of the exam days are declared public holidays, a standard practice aimed at maintaining uniformity and avoiding disruptions in the national examination framework.
Final Examination Schedule
The CA Final examinations, conducted under Regulation 31, will commence on May 2. Group I papers are scheduled for May 2, 4, and 6, while Group II papers will be held on May 8, 10, and 12. This structure mirrors ICAI’s traditional pattern of alternating exam days, giving candidates a day’s gap between papers for preparation and revision.
Intermediate Examination Schedule
The Intermediate examinations, governed by Regulation 28F, will begin on May 3. Group I exams are slated for May 3, 5, and 7, followed by Group II on May 9, 11, and 13. The Intermediate level, often considered the most challenging stage due to its breadth of subjects, will follow the same three‑paper group format introduced under the revised scheme.
Foundation Examination Schedule
The Foundation course examinations will take place on May 14, 16, 18, and 20, marking the final leg of the May 2026 cycle. Papers 1 and 2 will be held from 2 PM to 5 PM, while Papers 3 and 4 will follow a shorter 2 PM to 4 PM slot, consistent with ICAI’s established pattern for objective‑type papers.
International Taxation – INTT‑AT
For members pursuing the post‑qualification International Taxation Assessment Test (INTT‑AT), the exams are scheduled for May 10 and 12, aligning with the Group II dates of the Final course. This exam continues to attract professionals seeking specialization in cross‑border taxation and global compliance frameworks.
Exam Timings and Administrative Notes
ICAI has confirmed that all Intermediate and Final exams will be conducted from 2 PM to 5 PM, maintaining uniformity across centers nationwide. The institute has also emphasized that examinations will be held only at designated centers and are subject to adequate registrations.
CA EXAMINATIONS MAY 2026: The detailed schedule enables students to plan their preparation strategies well in advance. With the CA curriculum undergoing significant updates in recent years, the May 2026 cycle is expected to witness a large number of candidates appearing under the latest syllabus.
The release of the timetable has brought clarity and structure for aspirants who have been awaiting official confirmation. Online Application process for these exams shall commence on 3rd March 2026 and the last date for submitting the application shall be 16th March 2026 without late fee and 19th March 2026 with late fee.
As one of the most rigorous professional examinations in India, the CA exams demand extensive preparation, and the early release of the schedule is likely to help students streamline their study plans and revision cycles.
